AMA Names New Key Executive

For more than 16 years, Dr. Soon K. Kim has served as chairman, president, and CEO of Aurora Behavioral Health Care, where he oversees the operations of seven acute psychiatric hospitals. Active in his field, Dr. Soon K. Kim belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the American Medical Association.

The American Medical Association (AMA) recently announced a new hire to serve as the organization’s Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and Senior Vice President of Physician Engagement – successful executive and Harvard MBA graduate Todd Unger, who prior to this post served with the Daily Racing Form as its Chief Digital Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

In addition to his experience in the digital media space, Mr. Unger worked with high-profile companies such as Procter & Gamble and Leo Burnett, helping them promote and optimize their unique brand profiles. He has also held key marketing roles with Lifetime Television and Major League Gaming.

In his comments, AMA CEO James L. Madara, MD, said that Unger’s experience positions him for success in this new role. He believes Unger will be a tremendous asset to the AMA, helping to develop the best digital tools for physicians for years to come.
